History

On January 17th, 1985, the doors to Montague’s were proudly opened by Buddy Matthews and J.H. Thompson. The business began with one goal: to provide a friendly meeting place where a good drink, good food, and a friendly laugh could be enjoyed time and time again by the people of Greenwood and its surrounding areas. Lee Matthews (son) and Mike Mikina are proud to continue this tradition with Buddy Matthews as partners in Montague’s.

At Montague’s we believe that the world revolves around you – the customer. We pride ourselves in only preparing the freshest and tastiest cuisine sourcing as many of our premium ingredients from local farms and vendors. Our food is prepared by a fantastic culinary team headed by Executive Chef Neil Talbot and their experience spans over 75 years in the business. We take pride in being passionate about what we do, and food is not just a business for us, but a way of life and a philosophy.
